About Tonda di Parigi Carrot Seeds
Daucus carota
Dark orange, round root, sweet and tender. 'Tonda di Parigi' is a French heirloom in a class of its own; it does not fall into any of the four primary carrot types (Chantenay, Nantes, Danvers, and imperator).

| Growing & Harvesting | For best flavor and texture, harvest carrots any time before, and until they reach their optimal size. Peak harvest period lasts about 3 weeks, longer in the fall. Late summer-sown carrots are sweetened after having been kissed by light frost; however, harvest before soil freezes, which may destroy the crop. In USDA zone 5 or warmer, carrots can be left in the ground for storage provided they are heavily mulched; harvest as needed on days the ground is not frozen. |

I love this variety of carrots. The smell is a~mazing when you harvest, and the taste is unbelievable! I haven't tried planting in a pot yet to test it out, but when I planted them directly in the soil last year, I was able to harvest the size of a fist/baseball size, similar to the beets. Definitely, one of my favorites and definitely planting again this year!

I love having a home garden and sharing seeds. So try to buy a variety. Some if these packets are very pretty and inspirational.

These didn't grow that well for me. Even though the other carrots in the same raised bed did amazing, these little guys didn't really make a hand.
