Candystripe Cosmos Seeds

Cosmos bipinnatus

A beauty like no other, 'Candystripe' has a golden center flanked by white petals with rosy edges and striping, making one sweet cut flower! Once established, cosmos are drought tolerant; neglect is the kind of care they prefer. They reseed readily, making them ideal for wildflower or naturalized areas.

    Candystripe Cosmos

One of my favorite cosmos varieties, this plant is incredibly easy to grow from seeds by directly sowing them in the ground during the week of Memorial Day. It absolutely attracts bees, making it a great addition to any garden. Highlands Ranch, CO Zone 6a

    Hey Marjorie,

We're so thrilled to hear that Candystripe Cosmos are one of your favorite varieties! There's something so satisfying about direct sowing seeds right in the ground, especially around Memorial Day when the timing is just perfect. And how wonderful that you're seeing all those bees visiting - these cosmos really are fantastic pollinator magnets! It sounds like they're thriving beautifully in your Zone 6a garden in Highlands Ranch. Thanks for sharing your growing success with us! Keep on growing 🌻️

Stunning! Direct sowed these with great germination rate in zone 8b. Deadheaded regularly and had lots of continuous blooms. Definitely growing these again next year!

Seemed to grow well but much slower to come to bloom than some cosmos I have tried. Before reaching bloom the deer discovered them :(

    will try again next year.
