Naughty Marietta French Marigold Seeds

Tagetes patula

These gorgeous yellow and maroon flowers are as beautiful as the starlet depicted on the poster of the 1935 movie, Naughty Marietta. This tough garden standard is very easy to grow from seed and blooms profusely and continuously from summer to frost. Fairly drought tolerant, great for containers, attracts butterflies, and may repel soil nematodes.French marigolds are edible, but with a very strong flavor similar to its pungent scent. A 1947 All-America Selections winner.

    Marigold

This was my first time growing marigolds from seeds and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to transplants these plants are so much bigger and healthier than any ones bought from the nursery. Germination was great.

Fantastic, hardy, long growing and big with lots of blooms in Northern California!

My favorite marigold so far - started early from seed and they were a bit slow to bloom here in our cool early summer (Sonoma County), but once they did, WOW - large hardy plants with tons of blooms, great for interplanting with tomatoes and basil, beautiful and fragrant and the pollinators just love em! Will definitely be part of my annual rotation!

Loved these Marigolds! First time trying this variety. I started them in 6-cell tray from Epic gardening and transplanted out and they did very well. So pretty!! I grew them to grow with all my tomatoes and all of them did very well together. I always have great germination with Botanical Interest.

These Marigolds grew great, used them as companion plants to my peppers and so far they seem to be doing the trick!
