Dwarf Blue Curled Kale Seeds

Brassica oleracea

Dwarf Blue Curled', from the 1800s, is extremely hardy and will overwinter in all but the coldest climates. Like most greens, it grows best in cool weather but will also withstand some heat. Leaves are rich in vitamins and minerals and low in calories. The flavor of the leaves is sweetened after a light frost; delicious in winter soups!

    Great germination and growth

I'm growing kale in my greenstalk this year and the germination rate and growth on this variety has been great. Very pleased!

I've tried other varieties of kale but this is my absolute favorite. It starts early and continues well into fall. Always tender and tasty.

After starting this from seed and planting in my garden this spring, the plant is definitely not Dwarf Blue Curled Kale. It looks like some kind of kale, possibly Premier. Disappointed that the packet was mislabeled.

Planted and depended on 'Botanical Interests'; ie. reliable Dwarf Blue Kale in my greenhouse, and it turned out to be an unwanted unidentified variety of Kale. If I could give less than one star I certainly would.
